# REST API

The REST API includes three primary entities:
* **`Position`**: Coordinates of a smart label within the coordinate space of the indoor positioning network
* **`Zone`**: A predefined polygon of x, y and constant z, into which a label can `enter` or `exit`. Zones are intended to represent meaningful areas within a facility, e.g. Shelf 1-02 of a warehouse racking environment
* **`Asset`**: The business asset that a smart label is associated with, e.g. A box or pallet being tracked
